Trauma Counselling

Trauma focused therapy uses a range of techniques for the purpose of processing difficult feelings experienced by a trauma survivor, which may impact on thoughts, beliefs and behavior. One of the primary techniques used in the practice is Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). This is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on recreating balance within the brain information processing system. The therapist in this practice has a special interest in the area and is a trained EMDR therapist.
